FAQ's

What will happen if I am registered to use the Accident Management System App, but the person or persons that i have had an accident or collision with are not?

If you have registered your details into the Accident Management System App (AMS), and then have an accident or collision, with a person or persons that have not downloaded or registered AMS, you can still continue to collect all the details regarding the other driver(s) involved in the accident or collision with your vehicle manually, see below.

AMS will prompt you with what questions you need to ask and the details you need collect.

Follow the step by step instructions:

  • Personal details of the other driver(s) involved in the accident or collision with your vehicle.
  • Images and videos of the damage caused.
  • Facilities to upload front and back dashcams videos straight into your AMS App.
    • Although the other driver(s) or drivers are not using AMS, your insurance company will have a record of how you were driving.
  • All this information is then submitted directly to your insurance company via email.
  • You will also receive a copy of all the details about your accident or collision via email.
  • These details will prove very important in the event of future court case(s) regarding your accident or collision.
If I find myself involved in an accident or collision, as a registered user of AMS, how do I know the person(s) involved in the accident or collision with me are insured with an active vehicle insurance policy?

In the event of you, a registered AMS user, are involved in an accident or collision the following will apply:

  1. If the person(s) involved in an accident or collision have registered their details into AMS, both their personal and vehicle details will appear on your phone.
  2. This will happen once the registration number of the vehicle(s) involved in the accident or collision with your vehicle are entered into AMS.
  3. You will receive a green tick to illustrate that they have an active insurance policy in force.
  4. At the same time, your personal and vehicle details will also appear on the phone of the person(s) involved in the accident or collision with your vehicle.
  5. They will also receive a green tick to illustrate that you too have an active vehicle insurance policy in force.

If the person(s) or persons involved in an accident or collision with your vehicle are not registered with AMS, you will be prompted to enter their vehicle registration number into your app.

  1. This will automatically generate a red cross mark to illustrate that the AMS App has no active insurance policy listed for the vehicle involved in an accident or collision with your vehicle.
  2. This is the result of the person(s) involved in an accident or collision with your vehicle not yet downloading or registering their personal and vehicle details into the Accident Management System App.
  3. At this point it would be advisable to contact the appropriate authorities to assist you.
  4. In the meantime, your AMS will prompt you to ask and collect the correct questions, such as:
  • The other driver or drivers’ personal and vehicle details.
  • Eye witness accounts.
  • You will also be prompted to take images of person(s) involved in the accident or collision with your vehicle.
  • You have built in facilities to take pictures or create realtime video of the accident or collision or upload your front and back dashcams straight into Accident Management System App.
  • When the police arrive, include the police reference number in AMS.
  • These details will be submitted directly to your insurance company via email.
  • You will also receive a copy of the details of your accident or collision via email.

These details will prove very important in the event of future court case(s) regarding your accident or collision.

How do I update my profile details?

You can edit your profile details by following these steps:

Go into the menu bar and select “Edit”.
Enter your five-digit pin, created during registration of AMS.
Edit your profile
Hit ‘Save’.

This five digit pin is your unique security pin number that will also be needed to submit your accident or collision details to your insurance companies.

We therefore advise that you look after your five digit pin and keep in a very safe place.

Can I upload my front and back dashcams straight into AMS?

Yes! The App has built in facilities to record videos and take pictures of your accident or collision in real time.

AMS allows you to upload your front and back dashcams as part of your accident report to your insurance company.
This helps your insurance to determine in real time who was responsible in causing the accident or collision.
Your front dash cam will show how you as a driver was driving going forwards.
A rear dashcam would show exactly how the driver behind you was behaving.

We strongly recommend the use of 24 hr dashcams that cover 360-degree view of your vehicle. While expensive, they provide details of any accidents or collisions that may occur when you are not in your vehicle, or someone else is driving your vehicle. Your insurance company may offer you a reduced payment if you inform them that you are using 24hr dashcam and the Accident Management System App.

Which devices is AMS compatible with?

AMS is compatible with a wide range of iOS and Android devices.
